A HIGH CALLING: A MESSAGE TO THE RECENT GRADUATE
Dear graduating high school senior,
You have a much higher calling for your life than getting a promising career to make money and live comfortably. If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are a part of God’s story of redemption, and you get to invite others into that story.
God is strategically placing you in the areas you will live, attend class, study, work, play, etc. What if you saw those locations, the people you are with, and the activities you are doing as an opportunity to follow in the steps of Jesus and glorify the Lord? Everything you think and do will be different in light of that perspective.
Living for eternity is so much greater than living for the short-term gratification of this world. I urge you to know God and to make Him known in every aspect of your life. God is not an added bonus to your life; He is your life.
Grace and peace to you as you embark on your new journey. Take comfort in your Savior, who is with you always.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21
